Edward Breuer, a native of Montreal, completed his doctoral work at Harvard and taught at the University of Pennsylvania and Loyola University. Since moving with his wife and four children to Israel in 2001, he has been teaching in the Department of Jewish History and the Rothberg International School of the Hebrew University.His research and publications have centered upon the Jewish Enlightenment and the writings of Moses Mendelssohn. He is the author of The Limits of Enlightenment. He addressed the Tantur program on the following topics:
